I saw a second Cardiac Consultant in Sept 2007 who explained why a 5th angiogram was proposed and he showed me part of the 1st and 4th angiograms which showed some “deposits” but all controllable by medication and diet. Sounds so easy in the clinic. But he allayed my fears as I was not really looking forward to another session on the table and he explained in enough detail what was exactly going on with my heart disease, angina etc. He also said I have a Haematoma in my right wrist which has caused the pain and suffering for the past 4 months.
Yet when I saw the Doctor, that performed the angiogram which CAUSED this problem, he implied nothing was wrong and that THERE was a pulse. BUT no one has felt one apart from him and me at that time until recently (November 2008). My GP’s also seemed not to know what was wrong as I have received Ibrobrufen gels and sprays which just aggravate the pain. I was also referred to the physiotherapist who manipulated the thumb and made the pain more intense and debilitating.

I saw the original Cardiac Consultant, that performed the angiogram, 4-5 times and at the last appointment he said there was nothing wrong as he found an INCREDIBLY weak pulse and he advised physiotherapy for the thumb. I told him about the physiotherapy treatment I had had  but he insisted I needed that treatment. He also said the other Consultant was wrong and I had no haematoma. So WHO do I believe?????????I have NO faith in any Doctor at all now . They all show an arrogance of being right AND ignore the patient.

November 21, 2007  I saw the General Surgeon yesterday about my left arm BUT he seemed to think that the lack of pulse in my right was more important. Interestingly he also could not get a pulse. He stuck some “electronic gear” over both radial arteries and we both heard the pulses wooshing away so at least I have blood supply. BUT no pulses could be felt in either arm.

On  December 5, 2007 I had an ultrasound scan of the radial, ulnar and brachial arteries in my right hand. Blood was shown to be flowing. The Radiologist mentioned something about an operation on my wrist. I forget exactly what he said BUT he did seem confused as to why I had had that angiogram performed via the radial artery. My right arm is not able to be repaired as the cardio consultant has allegedly destroyed the integrity of about an inch of my right radial Artery

A haematoma was mentioned as the cause for the lack of pulse.
I also discovered that the “Consultant” that reamed/performed the 4th angiogram had not written a professional letter with the results to the Surgeon.
