I have three medical Doctors in my immediate family. My sister, DrA's senior partner for around 20 years in his Practice, Her husband who is retired and my niece is a Doctor in Mumbai having qualified in University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

I have asked my sister many times for help but she says she "will not interfere" because Dr A MEANT WELL. I believe she "job-shares" 2 or 3 days a week with Dr A now, I may be wrong she may have retired. She also said, many years previously, that Doctors do secretly pass on information between surgeries about, usually, troublesome patients. I remember saying that I wished Dentists did/could do that and then discussing that with a dental mate. This was well before I was "struck off" as it now appears I was from the response of almost everyone in the NHS in West Glamorgan. SHE had to lend me the £4500 to pay for the mistake in my retirement but STILL would not help me other than lend me the money. We no longer talk as just seeing her reminds me of the chaos caused by Dr A.

        My wife was a State Registered Nurse and worked in the Ford Plant in Swansea.

        My father was a Chemist and had a Pharmacy in Neath and retired, because of a flood coincidentally, in 1975. He taught/told me to treat my patients as I wished to be treated myself, an ethic I strived to follow throughout my career. An ethic I feel Dr A, and many other GP's ignore to this day.

       I live in the house I grew up in and "given to me" on the death of my mother in 1993 and moved into on March 1st 1994 at the start of my divorce. It was built by my granddad and I am the 1st person EVER to have a mortgage on it, thanks to Dr A, and now have a debt for life as I will never be able to clear it.  I am still financially worse of than I was BEFORE I went to University in 1967. I had to sell the majority of my mother's antiques in order to survive in 1998.

My son Tom has been brilliant and we are now very close. But what an example I have set. ALL my O levels, A levels and University degree. 23 years as a NHS Dentist all destroyed because of an incompetent Doctor, BUT one of the top Doctors in West Glamorgan.
